Celebrated Bongo musician Diamond Platinumz has added yet another achievement to countless of his accomplishments. This is after the father of four was named Tanzania's AIDS awareness ambassador by the Tanzania Commission for Aids(TACAIDS).
The star was named TACAIDS ambassador on Wednesday, July 10, in Dar Es Salaam during the commission's meeting with artistes from Diamond's label, WCB, who are also part of the project. Speaking during the meeting, TACAIDS acting director, Jumanne Issango said the body intends to get to the youth so as to provide reproductive health education to them and create more awareness on HIV/AIDS while at it. It is for that particular reason it nominated Diamond as its ambassador who will use his Wasafi Festival concerts to share the aforementioned.
On his side, Diamond said the partnership came at the right time since Wasafi Festival is not all about entertainment only but also educating the youth. It is through the same meeting the singer advised women not to make love with men who do not want to use protection.

''We as men lead in forcing women to have unprotected copulation with us. It is high time women should say no to men who do not want to use condoms because such people have ill motives,'' he said'
